[Theta had left the back door open. She needed it open to let the smoke out after she'd tried cooking. She wasn't pleased at all with Albedo's antics with regards to MOMO, and she was trying to cook better for all of their sakes. The problem was that she wasn't nearly as skilled as Albedo was even when he -wasn't- cooking up to his potential. Now she was sitting on the arm of the couch in the living room, sighing frustratedly as she watched the smoke gradually filter out by the back door.]

*Albedo was leaning against the back of the couch near Theta, also watching the smoke perhaps a little smugly.* Cooking doesn't seem to be your forte, my dear.

[ MOMO is trying to fan the last of the smoke out of the house, more distressed by it than the other two, it seems. ]

I-I really don't mind pitching in to help with the cooking, Miss Theta! Even without my programming, I-I'm sure I could do it...

No, it most definitely isn't. I'd much prefer it if you'd cook to your -usual- level, Darling.

[She sighs and looks over at MOMO, then blinks in surprise when she sees Hephaestus in the house. She stands and goes over.]

Cynric? [She expects him to be with the dodo.]

Perhaps if the town decides to move Ma Pèche elsewhere. It's quite distracting having Rubedo's little toy around.

*He glances over at the dodo raises an eyebrow as Theta gets up.* An unexpected guest?

[Heph squawks cheerfully at you in greeting! When he hears Theta's voice, he scoots past you into the kitchen to do the same at her.

[Theta chuckles amusedly when Hephaestus recognises her, and reaches out to give him an affectionate pat. Then she retreats to the couch and her seat on the arm of it, beckoning for the dodo to follow her.]

*He doesn't move from his spot, but does reach over to rest an arm on Theta's shoulder.* He should be more careful with his pets if he doesn't want to risk them annoying the wrong person.

[ MOMO hesitates, then judges that she's helped with the smoke enough to satisfy her curiosity. ]

It's name is Hephaestus? What a nice name! My name is MOMO! [ She's at least trying to be friendly. ]

[Look at all this attention! His one thrilled bird. He coos happily at the girls. He hops up on the couch next to Theta. Dodos aren't renowned for their manners.]

[Theta snuggles into Albedo and pats Hephaestus some more. She may or may not be encouraging him onto Albedo's lap so she can get snuggles from her Darling -and- pats for the dodo.]

That's right, MOMO. Do you want to come pat Hephaestus, as well?

[If it weren't for the nasty look she imagines Albedo giving her nigh on immediately when MOMO gets close, they might just pass for a happy family there for a moment.]
