Well, they're own fault then.

So are you actually supposed to be finding subversives, or are you some kind of weird subversive finding subversives to try and join your cause?

Oh no! This is my job. I had been asking for one for awhile and I finally got one. But I'm afraid I'm not very good at it.

You should be, like, forcing raids in the middle of the night into people's houses, using torture and intimidation to get what you want and force them to confess their crimes against the state. That's how these things usually roll.

Well that sounds positively dreadful. Plus I don't think I have time to organize that! I was told I only had until tomorrow to collect 20 suspects.

Then lie to people about what they're actually signing, or something. Like ask if they want a free car. Of course they're going to want it, so they'll sign for it and give you the info you need.

Really now! Well, good for you. [This isn't sarcasm. Everything he says is generally pleasant.] Did they give you a job?

[He narrows his eyes a little. Pleasantness isn't necessarily something to be trusted.]

Ah yes, me too! Just like back in Mayfield. They won't believe me that I don't need to go either.

Well I dunno. Considering the way you were trying to go about this, maybe some education wouldn't be bad for you.

[Looks at his clipboard, looks at Pokey, blinks.] You suppose they have classes on this sort of thing?

I'd think they'd have training, which is a sort of class.

But it be pretty sweet if they taught this at school. I would totally go then.
