In a couple of months his job of being Chuck's bodyguard would be over. A new Intersect would be up and running and Chuck wouldn't be needed anymore. It didn't matter that he'd grown to like the guy. He would do what needed to be done in this job, and that just might mean he'd have to kill Chuck once the new Intersect was ready. Never mind the way Casey's stomach suddenly knotted up over the idea of Chuck's death.
I think I liked this one just because it was such a realistic way that Casey/Chuck could happen. I didn't really have to suspend my belief or squint at the characterisation at all. Plus, it was cute:)
