Sorry I'm too lazy to type out the whole thing right now but here's the beginning of my new FF
Harry tossed and turned restlessly in his sleep. He was having the same nightmare for the third time this week. He was reliving the night that Lord Voldermort had killed his parents in vivid detail. Or rather the details his mind was filling in as he was much too young to actually recall the real thing. He was standing in his crib crying. Lily came in and picked him up holding him close to her trying to soothe him.
"There, there, darling. It's alright, Mummy's here. Shhhhhhhh...."
But Harry would not calm down. He was frightened. He had heard something...someone. Then they heard it. A loud commotion in the next room. Two men's voices, a struggle, a loud popping noise and then an eerie silence. Lily Potter tensed up and held Harry close to her as she edged toward the door quietly.
"James...." she called out in a small shaky voice. No reply. Instead slow steady footsteps coming down the hall. She backed away from the door toward Harry's crib. She was shaking badly as she set Harry down in his crib. He whimpered softly, too scared to cry.
A dark figure appeared in the doorway. Lily screamed and began to sob as she stood protectively in front of Harry.
"Please....please don't." she stammered
"Get out of the way you silly girl!" called Voldermort pointing his wand at Lily.
"Leave us alone!"
"Don't be foolish, Lily, move out of the way."
"I won't let you hurt Harry! I don't care what you do to me, but you won't kill my baby!"
"Fine...." Voldermort drawled aiming his wand directly at Lily's heart, "have it your way then. Avada Kedavra!"
Harry awoke suddenly. His heart was pounding like a jack hammer and his breath was coming out in short wheezing gasps as if he had just run a mile. His dreams had to mean something, he knew they did. He decided he should tell Dumbledore first thing in the morning. Harry shuddered and pulled the covers tightly around his body as he forced himself to close his eyes once more.
