Note: I am not feeling devious. I just like the hampster icon for it.

I don't have to go into work until 3:15! *tosses confetti* It's quite thrilling. I can't imagine I'll be working 'til that late...probably only a few hours. Which is nice. But it also means I'll be hungry, since there isn't usually a dinner shift break whatever and Lane is closed by the time I get back. It's all good. I can always stop somewhere afterwards.

So Fareinheit 911 was super intense. I cried a lot. But that's not surprising considering I cry at a lot of things. There was a pretty good group dialogue following the film, hosted by the film society and the GC Republicans (the Democrats didn't show, I guess). I thought that it was a very well made film. It was thoroughly captivating and very emotional, and at plenty of occasions, humorous. However, I am aware that it is a film, and should not be taken as fact. The film does get people out there wanting to know more about politics and things, which I do respect. Michael Moore, whether you agree with him or not, believes what he says, which gives me more respect for him than I previously had (which was very little, actually)-and gets people talking about important political issues. People should not uncomprimisingly believe everything our leaders say. Leaders are fallen, just as we all are. Therefore we have the duty to question whether we believe our politicians are doing what is right for the country. No matter our political affiliation, it is our responsibility as members of a democracy to pay attention to the issues. Frankly, I hate political parties. I wish we could simply vote for candidates based on their agendas and their individual views rather than voting for a candidate we dislike just because they happen to belong to the party we support, or whatever. That's why I'm an Independent. Still, the way the system is, I have to choose a candidate based not only on their individual ideals but on their party. Oh well.

After I got back from that around 10:15, my friend Laura came over and we watched episode 2 of North and South. Next time Billy and Brett'll be all grown up! Yayee! I seriously can't wait for the DVD to come out. That's what Christmas is for, I guess.

So I'm going to work 6 hours a week TAing starting this Monday. That's a good $40 or so a week. Which is nice. Ow. I just burned my tongue on my green tea.

Tonight, Jude Law is hosting SNL! I'm excited. I really hope he does some sort of spoof of Cold Mountain. That would make my day. Or very early evening, I should say.

I get to sign up for classes soon. I already have my classes picked out, I just have to make sure I can get into them. Considering they're all major related, it shouldn't be too difficult. And no quad classes! Woot woot! As far as I know, I don't have any quad classes left to take. Ever. For core, all I have left is my lab science and foreign language, which are semester classes. Major requirements are all 4 credits, too, that's left. So I'm stoked. No more quad finals! But I am jumping ahead of myself, for I don't know if I'll get into all of the classes for sure, or whatever.

All right, I think I'll watch me some TV before heading to Salem. I'm so boring!
