You know, I suspect Dean got the whole sex magnet cheeky attitude from Mary, not John. And reading this just verified it. Very sweet and gah at the same time and knowing how it all ends? Ah. :(

And also I have this...idea how John thinks HE's the one who spotted Mary and hunted her, but nuh-uh. I think Mary was the strategist/hunter all along. *nods*

Thanks. It was fun to explore his relationship with the people around him BEFORE the YED entered the game. And, of course, the whole white netty shit thing was kind of entertaining, too.

That is definately John and Mary. That crushing, can't breathe, heart paplating, all encompassing love.

It is John's protectiveness I think I love the most. The way he will do anything to protect Mary...not that she can't take care of herself, but more that his love is so tied to protection that it is all he can think about.

Maybe that is why her death was so devestating. He did not protect her.

That is the same thing that drives him to teach his boys what they need to know to survive. He can only protect them so long, before they will need to look out for each other.

Oh and John and Mary having sex in the church! I think I need a cold shower.

He didn't save her. *nods* Absolutely. The fact that he couldn't have saved her has nothing to do with it. Grief and guilt have no conscience. They don't understand justified or unjustified, they just exist.
