Ha! Didn't know we could go back and pick up challenges we missed in the Supernatural 100 community. That should keep me from doing what I'm supposed to be doing for a while. LOL

This one's from before I joined the community: Gas Stations and Convenience Stores.

Five Finger Discount

He had them pegged for trouble from the get-go: five-finger discounts in thrift shop clothing. The older one was interested in comic books; the younger one, in candy.

He walked over, took the comic right out of the kid’s hands. Took the little one’s Snickers, too. They wouldn’t steal from him today.

Older kid glared at him, eyes angry, mouth set to belligerence.

Shoving the comic and candy in a bag, he tossed it, saying, "Take it and go."

Kid frowned, hesitant. "No money," he said.

"Didn’t ask for any."

The kid blinked. Then grinned. Paid the bill in spades.
