Thank you, JD Morgan, for the alpha and the omega and everything in between. Your understanding of John Winchester's spirit and embodiment of his essence are all I could ever ask for. We are of John, Always.

Perfect indeed. And hello to you, too. There was a point several years ago where the show left my heart and became a chore to watch, so I curtailed my fannish activities accordingly, feeling it wouldn't be fair to harsh everyone else's squee with my ever deepening dissatisfaction. But I do miss the people on LJ and the fan community. We had some wonderful times back in the heyday, and some of my fondest memories of fandom are from the Supernatural family and those wonderful boys to whom I am still quite devoted.

Yeah, you can't always love everything, and it's not quite the same as it was.

But we missed you 'round the flists! :D I hope you've been doing well and having fun with other things, in mean time.

I can't believe we've come so far - 300 episodes, 15 seasons! (Well, 15 is to come, but still....)

And LJ/DW are doing a bit brisker business, these days, now that Tumblr got so stupid, so that's fun, too.

:D

I miss the flists, too. I had actually gafiated from fandom after losing my Trek mojo, but SPN dragged me back in for several years, so when SPN let me go, I was already pretty much gone. I'm always a fan of specific things (JD being chief amongst them), but no longer play in any fandom so much as periodically reminisce about how much fun I had back in the day, playing in fandom. :D Glad to hear LJ/DW are picking back up though ... always felt their structure provided the perfect place for a creative fandom to thrive. And with the huge part fandom has played in my life over the years, I love knowing that it still exists as a creative, thriving, living entity and safe haven for those who wish to share their love of a show and/or actor rather than simply hating on them in 240 characters or less.

Yes!

I never understood Tumblr as a platform for fandom beyond images. You can't *talk* over there, without way too much difficulty and tracking of posts. I just never got it.

The 'old days' of fandom as I (and you) knew them might be gone, but it's certainly still a living, breathing thing. I'm glad for that, so that some new whippersnappers can have their fandom salad days, too. :D
