The Dibbuk Box

Quick flyby to say:

Jeff's new movie Possession (formerly, and better, titled The Dibbuk Box) is scary as FUCK and he is flat-out fantabulous in it. Exceptionally good real-people scares (as compared to Hollywood scares) and a great cast all around, with JD and the little girl who plays the afflicted hitting for, and reaching, the stars.

Does not, for those inclined to worry as much, go to the Exorcist place, but rather far more effectively focuses on the parental perspective of trying to save one's child from a horror unimagined. And the dibbuk, or "demon," in question is a demon in the sense of a vile, evil spirit with the movie's conception of as much having few religious overtones beyond the same sort of dark Jewish folklore pinings that equally suffused the original Supernatural's conceptual design.

So if you want to see something that is both tres entertaining and in which JD shines like a beacon of fantabulous actorliness, go see Possession. It is absolutely worth the price of admission and more.

review, jdm is the coolest man on the planet, movies, jdm
