"Can I ask why not?"
"Because He doesn’t believe in me."
"What makes you say that?"
"Experience."
"Experience how?"
"Look, father. I know this kind of crap helps some people, but I’m not one of them. You’re wasting your time. If you ask the Big Guy about me, He’ll tell you the same thing."
"I thought you didn’t believe in God, Dean."
"I didn’t say I don’t believe He exists."
"Then you do believe in Him."
"No. He may be there, but I quit believing in Him the day my mother died."
