Yeah, seasons 2 and 3 are my favorites of Buffy. Some of the best character stuff and episodes come from then. I wanted Faith to get the happily ever after with the Mayor too. I think she's my favorite slayer. The episode with the body swap between her and Buffy is awesome in how it portrays their differences.
Also, sick siblings are funny (not that being sick is funny) and totally random. Brother has a head cold and is wandering around drugged up on nyquil. Quality entertainment for cheap.

Yeah, my sister was really into like Season 6, which is good and has some great long arcs to it - but what I love about any show, but Buffy in particular, is the characters. And the characters were never better than in S2 & S3. They were young and unsure and fun and quirky, but also changing and growing which made them interesting too.

Faith was def my favorite. I had a soft spot for a few of the Slayers-in-Training just as side characters, but overall, Faith was not just my favorite Slayer, but in the top three of my favorite characters as well. She was the first hardcore female crush I remember having, and I didn't even really watch Buffy that much back then. The crush has remained strong even thru the recent viewings.
Oddly, because it is "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", Buffy is my least favorite character of them all.

I second that, Buffy is my least favorite character as well. Actually, no Angel and Riley are tied for least favorite, but for the titular character, she just didn't do it for me. So, that puts here second to least. Xander's my favorite, followed by Giles, Faith, Ethan and then Spike
Oh, yeah, Angel bored the shit out of me - until he went on to do the show "Angel". Then they had him all awkward and kind of funny and as the character developed (and got less about Buffy and their OTL and more a person of his own making) and they started to base him around the kind of comedy that David is really good at - (read - dorkus) - I really started to like him. Overall, I liked the show "Angel" better than "Buffy

Oh geez, Oz! How could I have forgotten him. So, okay, Oz ties with Xander on my list.
Riley always bugged me. For as much as I don't care for Buffy (and since she is the titular character I guess she does get to be all selfish and dramatic, it's her show *shrugs*) Riley being all 'I'm the man, you're just a girl' always got to me. But, that's my secret inner feminist.
I disliked Angel so much I've never watched his show, even though I've read fanfic with the characters from it in it.
Oz - I couldn't get behind Tara for like the whole first half of her dating Willow, because I was still so hung up on Oz. Plus, I missed all the Oz & Xander are Bestest Best Friends that may have only existed in my head. ;)
Oh, you should give "Angel" a try - his character is far less broody (not completely un-broody, but much better) and funnier and the cast of characters is awesome. Wesley works his way through comic relief to total BAMF and Cordelia grows up into a woman and Gunn, omg Gunn - trust me, there is nothing not to like about Gunn. And yeah, it's a Vampire with a Soul running a Detective Agency in LA - so definitely a little bit like crack-au-fan-fic of the character Angel - but still totally awesome. There is a distinct David Greenwalt influence on this show.
