Shining, Gleaming, Streaming, Flaxen, Waxen!

Was posting elsewhere some pics of my new hair color - got it all done up for the cruise - and thought I’d share here! First we did the cut and tried some color, but the pic I brought in for inspiration was more of a cotton candy pink color and it just didn’t work well. My new hairstylist - who I am crushing on just a wee bit - tried watercolor and it just didn’t pop. So I came back the next weekend and she re-did the color for free (I did tip her pretty handsomely). And it showed up much better. It wasn’t quite what I’d had in mind, but now it’s been almost two weeks and the color has set and I adore it! It’s not what I had originally envisioned, but I think it may be even better? Even though I am going on a cruise into warmer weather, I still have to wear this hair through the rest of the Michigan winter and this coloring is much more of a winter-punk (or winter-fae, you choose) than the coloring I had originally wanted. I’ll try cotton candy again this summer. Anyways, here are a few pics of my hair’s evolution, from July 2017 - February 2018! (and two cute winter selfies with the doggo for fun!)

















I love new hairstyles. I feel the same way about it that I do makeup. It’s all art to me.
