My Current TV Time.

Feb 07, 2016 00:21

So, Sis and I just came up with a game plan for our TV watching. We just finished the first half of Sleepy Hollow's current season. Next we are watching The Guild, before Netflix drops it at the end of the month. Sis has seen it before, but I haven't and she wants to watch it again. Then we are watching the last half of the last season ( ( Read more... )

reality tv is my shame, flash - fastest man alive, without a criminal bones: svu, dance-geek, the fosters are a family, family circus, avatar not the one with blue people, the x-files - trust everyone, tv show blahblahblahing, arrow - the green hood, agents of shield, sister oh sister, the walking dead are coming!

Lots of shows! Yay! Netflix thought I might enjoy The Fosters, can you tell me anything about it? How do you like it?

*chants* Agent Carter, Agent Carter, Agent Carter. ;)

*premiers McDanno icon*

(I don't usually use name mash ups for ships all that much, but McDanno? It has grown on me. :p)

I love that McDanno icon - isn't it great? It was a great moment between them too, just casually bickering about something stupid and mundane, like omg, could they love each other more?!

For future reference, I searched for H5o icons on LJ and here are the search results! H5O icons!

You would probably like The Fosters. It's about a teenage girl in foster care who gets taken in by a married lesbian couple with a birth son and two adopted twins (all teenagers) and it's about the foster care system in America and being poor and having lesbian moms and split families and 'the family we make' and it addresses all kinds of issues like statutory rape and transgender kids and sexuality and just really tackles the hard issues in such a good way. They don't make it like a cheesy 80s after school special like so many shows do - they really talk about the issues and let the kids say what real kids would say. So different from the kind of things I normally rec to you, but I still think you'd like it. I am passionate about reform in the foster care system here in America, so that alone got me interested, but they did such a good honest job with it, I am very happy these issues are being talked about. That does sound like a really good show. I had to pause my Netflix subscription for money reasons, but when I unpause it I will definitely give it a go. :)

Omg, do you rally think Chad Michael Murray's character is dead?!
Noooooooooo! He can't be! I love him, even though he's an asshole most of the time! I refuse!

I hate name mashups, like Destiel, ugh.
God, me too. I way trying to be diplomatic in case you liked them, but ugh! Why do people do it? The point of slash is that there is a SLASH between the names. Not that I ever see anyone calling it slashing anymore, but still. Now I feel old. :p

But McDanno is the exception, because they are McDanno, like that word describes them to a tee. MCDANNO!
Yes! Yes, exactly! It's just so THEM.
