*hugs* I'm glad there's a name for what's bothering you, though it sounds awful.

Yeah, it sucks pretty hard/ Apparently the inflammation in the inner ear presses against your nerves and causes the signals to get all messed up in there and also causes some temporary hearing loss - every time I lay with my one good ear pressed into the pillow, the world gets kind of muted sounding, it's very strange. It's definitely getting better - I'm just hoping this is the last time I get this virus - it is no fun and takes forever to go away.

Monster movies need to have monsters, that's the idea.

It billed itself as an alien apocalypse movie about a journalist and his female friend trying to get through the infected zone before the quarantine walls were closed and it's titled 'Monsters', so you'd think it'd be more Battle: Los Angeles style, action, running, monsters, etc. It was more a character piece about how this experience changed them and the people they used to be - which is fine, but just not what I was expecting. If they had billed it differently and made it sound less like an action apocalypse movie, I would have gone into it with different expectations and probably liked it better.
