lol It was actually a really fun birthday. I feel like as you get older, birthday celebrations become less frenzied and over-the-top important, so this weekend ended up being just the right level of fun for me.

Your RL question was the one about where I would live and what my house would look like..and I am curious what your answer would be.

Except that there is no ocean, the land we bought is a pretty darned awesome spot for a dream house - forest, meadows, and a river! I also really really like Monterey, CA for sheer beauty (though not for reasonableness of price, not at all). New Zealand would also be completely awesome.

As far as the house itself goes, I have a couple of dream-plans in my head. The first is a giant Roman-style single (or two) story house built in a massive square around a giant courtyard with a pool and garden plus landscaping in the middle; a place where you can shut the world completely out of the house, but still have your own private outdoors inside the safe zone. The problem with that, of course, is that the footprint required to build on is HUGE. The second is lots of blond wood and glass, with a mostly open floor plan (and that one, we'll probably DO).

I wondered how close the new land came to your dream place! Pretty damn close. Rivers are very awesome as well and they don't make the temperature drop so low like living on the windy beach does.

Omg, I want that too! Can you imagine how useful it would be in the apocalypse to have a closed off area where you could still go outside and get sunlight without being exposed to the world? Plus pool! (the only we don't have that I would want if we ever inherited a million dollars, is a pool). Awesome. (and yes, a dream house should have a contingency plan for the apocalypse. I love my current home, but the idea of being trapped in the basement for months on end while the zombies wither and die does not sound fun).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I LOVE YOU! *throws confetti*

I'm sad I missed out on asking questions, but these answers were awesome and interesting! I'd love to go to Canada some day (and the US of course!). I also liked your pick of countries. For some reason, don't know why. ;)

New Zealand! Hobbits! I want to go on a LotR tour so bad I don't even know what to do with myself. I hear they have the Shire pub running like a real pub now. Like, the actual pub from the films, just sitting there, waiting for us. Want!

"Oh, so you're just an aunt?" and am I like, "There is no just about it."This! I might not have any kids in my life right now, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't have deep connections with them just because they weren't mine. Ugh. Am I making sense? This flu is kicking my ass again, i feel like I'm not making sense. I agree with you! Is what I'm trying to say ( ... )

Okay, so my post-birthday post has gone up and you HAVE to see the cake my sister had made for me and The BFF for our birthday. YOU HAVE TOO. This cake is supremely relevant to your interests, bb. Here is the link for your pleasure.

I LOVE YOU TOO! ahahaha You throw confetti every year - it's all Misha Collins fault, isn't it?

I'm sad I missed out on asking questions, but these answers were awesome

Thank you! I almost poked you with an email pointing out the call for questions, but I know how super crazed school has been lately for you. So you liked my answer of countries I want to visit, huh? lol I wonder why. It's really aythia's fault because I remember her putting up pictures one day of the countryside around her home and I was like, "'Shit, yeah I gotta go there," but then you know, bonus!Wolfie to visit which is the main attraction the country has to offer. Right? ;)

You literally can get from my house into Canada in like three hours drive. Other side of Canada from Vancouver though, but like Toronto is only, uh, six hours from here. I know we got there in one day. Montreal, Niagara Falls, Quebec, all on my side of Canada - well, closer than Vancouver anyway.
