Right? To the point where I came up with this Derek/Stiles fic idea, that as it was kind of forming in my head, I realized it was just me dealing with their communications issues because it was mostly Derek crawling into Stiles bedroom window every night and them telling each other about their days and I realized like, "Omg, the whole show would have played out so differently if just the two sides had been talking to each other openly!" (and in this case, while naked in bed together!)
Much as I love the guy, and I do, the turning of Isaac, Erica and Boyd always makes me uncomfortable. Like, the dude is what, 23? Why is he picking high school kids with no one to turn to as his pack? Part of it is probably his own (fucking major) issues, but Derek, honey? No. Pimp is the word.
I'm glad I am not the only one with some squick issues over this. I never see anyone else pointing it out and yet it seemed so obvious to me! I mean, I expect ridiculous cliched tropes like this from Teen Wolf, so I kind of love it at the same time I am squicked out by it, but also - Idk, Derek and Mr. Argent go on a lot about their 'rules' and I'm like, "I call bullshit on this!" because come on, those kids couldn't have known what they were getting into. No way. And Derek picked kids who were easy to manipulate and you can't tell me otherwise.
He's awesome! I feel in love with Erica on my first rewatch, though, so now I can't decide. I love how she used to crush on Stiles and calls him Batman and stuff. I want to see more of her!
I kind of love Isaac/Scott now, but I also honestly could get behind some Erica/Stiles or some Erica/Derek or some Erica/Derek/Stiles - omg, that last one just came into my head and now I want it!!
Monday! It comes back on Monday! Less than a week! I wonder how this whole alpha pack storyline will play out? And how many scenes in the Jeep Derek & Stiles will have together?
