Just a little Chicago Fire fic, to get us all through the mini-hiatus! This one is for oxoniensis, because I was power-reading all her episode posts and I got this overwhelming urge to start writing this fic immediately. This is wonderful! I love the relationship between Matt and Kelly here. I'm a huge Kelly/Matt slash fan, so even though this is gen, I love how gentle and caring Kelly is towards Matt in trying to comfort him. I can't wait to see more from you!

I love Matt & Kelly's relationship on the show, how the subtle undertones so easily lend itself to a slash pairing, so I was hoping to do the same thing here and I am so glad it worked for you. (to be honest, I ship everyone with everyone on that show, lol, but Matt/Kelly's past history fascinates me unendingly).
