What is the bayonet like device sticking out off the end of the rifle in picture #9? Is that some sort of flash/blast diverter? Is it there to shape or better form the bullet's tail or some other purpose?

I don't sniper, and don't know the exact purpose of the bayonet. perhaps it helps to control vertical when aiming...

Its a bullet speed reader, like the wire rings another rifle is shooting through.
