Dogma

Mar 26, 2007 21:07

Why is it when you want to challenge the dogmatic beliefs of others, they get all freaky on you? I mean really?

And why is it now, if all you do is claim that there should still be debate on the science of climate change, that Al Gore's film should not be taken as gospel and that David Suzuki is a jumped up zoologist who if you don't genuflect at his feet and listen in rapture to what comes out of his mouth he writes you off as being in the pay of big oil, that you are castigated and derided as being some kind of evil man?

When did it become the case that denying the "science" of climate change was equated with denying the holocaust?

And not even denying the science of climate change, just simply asking that there be continued debate on it because it's not cut and dried yet, earns you the red D on your chest for Denier!

Gah.

PS. Godwined my own post.
PPS. Idly I wonder if the General will give me an AMEN on this post. I think he might. (then again he might smack me down!)
