This is from the "top fives" meme posted on my journal. I decided to take two of these top fives requests (from
enviebeau ) and turn them into a picspam. I've posted it over at my personal journal as well, but it's locked there, so I thought I'd post it here so everyone else can see the loveliness and epic awesomeness that is these two shows. Enjoy!
TOP FIVE DOCTOR WHO MOMENTS:
01. I Think You Need a Doctor
This scene is probably my all-time favourite scene of Doctor Who ever. It's just so sweet and heartbreaking and powerful, and it far surpasses any other Doctor Who moments. I think I cried more during this than I did in Doomsday, which is quite a feat.
02. Oh, She Knows
This scene is simple and short, but it's really lovely and epic. We almost hear those words out of the Doctor, but his Time Lord side takes over and he can't bring himself to say it. He declares, "oh, she knows." He has so much faith in her. I love these two.
03. Just Save One
This is a really short, easily missed/forgotten scene, but is probably my favourite DoctorDonna scene ever, apart from their last scene of course. It's powerful and heartbreaking and epic and just a great scene. I think that Donna is the Doctor's anchor, the one who keeps him from killing people. He was so torn up after Rose, and she really brought him back down to earth. She's his best mate, nothing more, nothing less, and that's just the way I like it.
04. He Needs You, That's Very Me
GAH WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN? This whole scene is just so tragic and heartbreaking, but also happy at the same time. Rose is losing her Doctor, the man she's been in love with for years, but gaining... well, her Doctor, a man who she has the rest of her life to fall in love with all over again. It's just like the regeneration, really... This scene is just so amazing, though.
05. The Best of Times
*sniffles* I don't think I can even type this without crying. This is my favourite DoctorDonna scene EVER. Also my favourite series 4 scene. Just so heartbreaking and tragic and AHH I CANNOT CONTAIN THE TEARS. I think Donna's fate was much worse than death, and a hell of a lot worse than Rose's, to be quite honest. Such a sad, heartbreaking scene.
TOP FIVE TORCHWOOD MOMENTS:
01. What's The Point of You
Really, really sad scene. I don't know why, I just really love this scene. Just when you think she's come to terms with Rhys's "death", she goes completely hysterical, and it's just so heartbreaking. I love this scene.
02. You're Breaking My Heart
I love this scene so much, just because it really shows how much Tosh and Owen love eachother. Owen's having a fit, but the minute Tosh tells him to stop, that he's breaking her heart, he instantly stops, because even though he's angry and terrified, he won't hurt his Tosh.
03. I Hope I Did Good
*sniffs* DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THIS ONE. I WAS SOBBING BY THE END OF THIS SCENE. This whole scene, where they packed Tosh and Owen's clothes, Tosh's video, the Torchwood trio finding comfort in eachother. Just beautiful and epic and wonderful. I have to say, though, Tosh's video had me in tears more than anything else. So sad.
04. Don't Forget Me
VERY sad, not only because Ianto died, but because of the way they reacted to it. Jack shows that Ianto is one of the few he really cares about very deeply. The way he says "not him!" is just so heartbreaking. Gwen's reaction is quite sad too. I think she loved him like a brother, and that she's really sincerely heartbroken to be losing him.
05. You Can't Just Run Away
BEST. TORCHWOOD. SCENE. EVER. Jack takes a page out of the Doctor's book and decides to run away. That last line, though, was the real kicker. "You can't just run away." → "Oh yes, I can. Just watch me." GAH. BEST SCENE EVER.
