sometimes

Sometimes life hands you a bundle of things.
Sometimes it is just too much to talk about.

My gut hurts from all the crying, my head hurts from all the thinking.

I chased some ducks on the ice in the middle of the lake. Five turkeys came to the window this afternoon. She watched them as they ate- they loved to watch the turkeys together.

His eyes, his eyes; they hold the love of a collection of people. I told him my car is fine now, I told him I will check the oil. I held his warm hand. I could hear his voice in the moan he made- time is almost up. We just have to let him know it is ok to go. His lungs are filling up with fluid. My nose is filling up with fluid. It is so cold out, I am glad I put that oil in my car. His arm stretches to the heavens and my cheek rest on his chest. It is so hard to let go, but one thing I can say is I am glad he gave me the gift of love and life.
