Nu Who Meta: Captain Jack's behavior in Doctor Who vs Torchwood
There is a distinct difference in Captain Jack Harkness's attitude and behavior when comparing his take-charge demeanor running Torchwood with his much more deferential attitude while a companion to both the Ninth and Tenth Doctors. How much of this is due to the age gap that Jack has, both with his younger Torchwood counterparts and with the much older Doctor? How much of this is due to him waiting so long for the Doctor, or even having a crush on the Doctor as was implied in Utopia?
