I enjoyed meeting Kay Steward, and the inside joke in the script about accomplishment was when one has a famous name was quite daring for a Redgrave. :) Yes please, more tributes to Romana, Sarah Jane, Liz.
I'm a little confused by the cast listing on IMBD as they list Ruthie Henshall in the epiosde as portraying the RANI. I must have missed something.
The analogy of humanity, curious about the black boxes, then taking them home, to ignore them, and others just watching them to see what happens then after a while taking them for granted was well done.
Usually domestic matters distract from epiode, but in this episode domestic scenes MADE this episode watchable. I noted the Doctor repeating phrases, which makes me wonder what exactly River is doing to try fix her parents lives for th e better. We know she does mess with time. I loved the previews with the little cherubs.
I wonder how long that little girl sat alone in the hospital lobby without one person noting she was alone, or asking if she was waiting for someone. That bit was quite scary--that a child could be so easily taken for granted--ignored rather like the black boxes --in a place dedicated to "care".
No one in a hospital checks to see if she is alright after the the Doctor decomissioned her--of course she's a cyborg, but I don't recall the Doctor telling any of the Doctors and nurses this.
The villian was distatseful. No as the Doctor said, a talking propaganda poster, but I love the idea that they the Time Lord Boogey men.
Nice to see Rory appreciated in his job, and Any with girl friends, but really is that all gal pals do--date and wait around to get married?
