Nu Who Meta: mothers & daughters in Nu Who
During the Russell T. Davies era, a big theme for each of the companion's character arcs was how they related to their family - specifically their mothers. Were there any similarities, or themes, that were similar between these mother/daughter relationships? How did the Rose/Martha/Donna's relationship with their mother affect their relationship with the Doctor? Do you think the mother/daughter dynamic between Amy and River is similar at all to those of the Davies-era companions with their mothers?
