Mod Post - update for non-members
I'm posting this for the benefit of the former members of doctorwho_eps who are waiting for more information.
For a while now, we've been trying to figure out a way to address the issue of former members who do not have friends who are members of doctorwho_eps, and so have no one to vouch for them, and in turn cannot rejoin under the current vouching system. We're very much aware of the fact that there are people out there who've never broken any rules, and have been good members in general, who nevertheless have been left out of the community due to our stricter membership procedures, and we're sorry for that. We've certainly not forgotten about you, and we have been devoting time and effort in an attempt to devise a solution that would allow as many of you to rejoin us as possible.
As a first step toward correcting the current undesirable situation, we'd like to start out by collecting the names of those of you who were members before and would like to rejoin the community. I'd like to make it clear that commenting here does not guarantee an immediate invite back into the community, but is instead a starting point designed to help us on our way to solving this problem.

Comments will be screened (i.e. will not be visible to anyone other than the person commenting and the maintainers of the community).

ETA: I thought I should mention that just a couple hours after I posted this, we already have 8 pages of comments (I know you can't see them, but trust me, they're there...). I'm delighted to see that so many of you still remember the community fondly and would like to rejoin, but this overwhelmingly positive response also means it's gonna take us quite a while to sift through all the comments. I promise to do my best, though :)
ETA 2: (August 20) We've now got 18 pages of comments, and counting. We'll be doing our best to get as many of you in as we can, and as quickly as possible, but I once again have to ask for your continued patience on this matter.
ETA 3: (November 9) We spent a while going through (24 pages of) comments to this post and inviting members, only to have the original saboteur get back in. We temporarily stopped inviting new members the minute we realized this, and have been working to weed out that person and deal with the damage they've done, which, unfortunately, is a rather time consuming effort that has caused a serious delay in dealing with anything to do with membership. I realize this is unfair to the former members who've done nothing wrong, just as it is unfair to those of us who've been working our asses off to make this community great. Still, I apologize for the lack of communication over the past couple of months. All I can say is that I've been doing, and am continuing to do my best to solve all these problems.
