Introducing Peter Capaldi as an action figure of the Doctor

My Time of the Doctor collectors set arrived yesterday so I took some photos of it. The figure is the Eleventh Doctor in his series 7 frock coat with swappable aged 11th and 12th Doctor heads.

There were a lot of kids watching The Day of the Doctor, the sonic reference was hilarious to us grown ups.....well, some of us. Especially given the nickname Billie Piper supposedly gave DT!

Some kids may have gotten the reference but I'm not a parent so I wouldn't know. As for Billie Piper's nickname for David Tennant, I always found that weird.

It was kind of odd...

Hmm... I wonder if my daughter got the reference. She might have; certainly my adult sons and my husband did! It's just, being a kid's show (supposedly), all those references, and the comments Eleven made to Ten about kissing a Zygon were a little disconcerting. I guess you have to entertain the adults, too!

Well, it's more or less a family show not a kids show although I've got to admit there's been a lot of questionable content since it came back in 2005.
