Moving time slots

I'm a teeny tiny bit concerned about the news that the BBC are moving the Dr Who timeslot to 8.30pm so they can show Strictly Come Dancing in the normal Who slot - I know that Strictly's a huge thing here in the UK, but I'd have thought that the number of children who love Dr Who would make it more worthwhile to show it before Strictly. I enjoyed the last episode, but I don't always enjoy every episode, and some frustrate me but that's because it had me hiding behind the sofa 39-40 years ago and because Cardiff is my city of birth, and I share the same birthday as Capaldi, and I was an extra in Bells of St John! I love my husband but I argue with him too - usually because the one of us wants the other of us to better ourselves! In answer to you wondering if you're doing it right? I think we're all doing it right, love it, hate it, loathe it, we're feeling - and that's the important thing!

I don't think it's a negative feeling because there's just as many good reviews following each episode, and people are watching, but I think there's a trend towards general hype being built up around a TV show, and then the interest dies down. There was such hype over here prior the new season of Who, but it's faded now, and Strictly hype's now the rage. It's like Oooh, this is flavour of the month, so it can have the new spot. I suspect it'll reflect in the ratings of Who and how long it'll last. And that worries me as I have yet to see them film in Cardiff, and that's very much on my to do list!
