The
BARB have revealed the finals for Deep Breath:
9,169,000 (2nd)
This is an increase of around 35% on the overnights, up from a 31% increase last year. It was only beaten by
the controversial episode of The Great British Bake Off this week.

As can be seen the overall rating is up on previous years but it is the lowest new Doctor story broadcast this century (The Christmas Invasion had a similar figure of 9.35m). However, the relative weekly rank is highest we have seen for an opener.
The overnight figures for Into The Dalek have also been released as 5.2 million. These suggest a fall of around 1,590,000, which compares favorably to the falls from the 9th Doctor's (2.8m) and 11th Doctor's (1.7m) debuts. For a second week episode this would rank as the fourth highest, behind The Fires of Pompeii, The Beast Below and The End of the World. However, as usual, we will have to wait for the final results
