.... the BBC did a Doctor Who/Musketeers crossover?
Not that I think they would, but here's how it could happen.
At the end of a Musketeer episode, you have a 'blink and you miss it' shot of the Tardis hidden in a shadowy corner.
The Doctor Who episode has the Doctor and Clara landing in historical France and the Doctor getting mistaken for the Cardinal. Fun ensues.
At the start of the next Musketeer episode, Porthos could say something like, "You know that man who looked like the Cardinal?" Athos would cut him off with, "We agreed we would never speak of that again." Porthos, "I just wondered.." Athos, "Not another word!"
And that's where they would leave it.
