City of Death! It's so barmy and inventive and witty. I also love The Ark in Space. I think it's so quintessentially Doctor Who, and it zips along. Genesis of the Daleks is up there for every scene with Davros and "do I have the right". The Deadly Assassin is another favourite watch of mine as it zips along and I love the dialogue and the surreal, scary bits, but can't say I think much of its characterisation of the Time Lords.
The whole "Key to Time" sequence is probably one of my favourites and for some reason, I absolutely love Stones of Blood because really: deadly stones that can chase people? How is it possible to love that enough? Plus, it features the first Romana who is my favourite (she did an amazing job of being just slightly alien in her reaction to things) and Professor Rumford is just awesome - one of those powerful older woman characters that Doctor Who often seems to do so well.
Image of the Fendahl. A lot of 4Doc is either too "zany" for me or too reminiscent of the Pertwee era (or contains Adric) for me to really appreciate. Image of the Fendahl just hits that sweet spot for me where it was milking the Hammer Horror stuff but had yet to metamorphose into the Tom Baker Comedy Half Hour. I'll admit I prefer DW when it is being a bit more mythical/gothic than when it is doing trad sci-fi.
