Synopsis
The Doctor finds himself on Skaro and is given a mission by the Time Lords. To return to the beginnings of the Daleks and stop them from being able to destroy all life in the universe. The Doctor willing accepts the task, but does he have the right?
Why is it so well loved?
1. After several unofficial versions, Terry Nation and Bob Holmes gave the definitive story of the Dalek’s creation.
2. It introduces Davros, one of the greatest villains in TV history.
3. Tom, Sarah and Harry are never better together than here.
4. David Maloney once again shows why he is one of the greatest directors the show has ever had.
5. It is a deeply philosophical story, making us look deeply at the nature of evil.
