Saw a spoof video where the Australian PM says she will protect her fellow Australians from whatever will threaten the planet on 21.12.12 - ""be it zombies or Korean pop" (uh?). It's so easy to say that when you don't believe a word of it... And my mind went straight to Harriet Jones - yes we know who she is. She is so much more real than this

I don't know how calling a woman who claims, "I'm a hero, I'll protect you all" in a situation in which she clearly doesn't even believe (a joke, yes; still bad taste to me) less real than a woman (fictional, you say; but that's a big question) who did what she did - how that is about politics :)
When the Australian PM says these things, she's not real; she's not a politician, she's an actress/a character - or do you think she really means what she says there? If so, then of course my note is completely wrong because I misunderstood the situation. But if she plays a role then she's just as fictional at the moment of sheech as Harriet and we are free to compare the two women. Totally not about politics.

Don't worry, we are not real too so it doesn't matter what you or I think but surely we can share our thoughts/impressions without offending each other/ being offended. It's all right :)

I don't really know anything about Australian politics in particular but that is certainly a political statement you are making there. You are commenting on her as a politician...
