Aw, I'm kind of fond of the Daleks to be honest. They were hilarious.

It's a bit funny that this happens after we firmly establish that there are Daleks floating around the universe, rather than after the billion previous times when we established there weren't.

Agreed with that second sentence.

At least it sets up that they're going to come back eventually, and it'll make perfect sense, as opposed to them coming back yet again after not existing.

It makes it seem a bit silly, tbh -- I mean, the Doctor knows they're out there, and he angsted about it back in VOTD, but he's not bothered enough to try and track them down and stop their inevitable genocide plan. But I guess Eleven kind of puts things on the backburner a lot, lol.

Well to be fair they were also more of a permanent fixture for all the Classic doctors, none of which decided to take up an active crusade against them - I'm sure Moffat envisioned a return to that sort of approach.

I wish they would give the Daleks a rest after seeing them so much during RTD's tenure, and then again in Season 5 (one of the worst Dalek episode ever too that one was if you ask me).

One of the worst EPISODES ever. Easily the worst of Eleven's stories.

I had hoped that at least that sucky episode was going to build to something in a later season or something, but they reinvented the daleks for nothing it really pisses me off.

I remember thinking the Dalek bomb guy who magically became human (or at least... not a bomb) through the power of his fake remembered love was a set-up for how they'd turn Auton Rory human again (by the power of his love for Amy) but that didn't end up happening so lol I don't even know what the whole point was.

First the poorly-received revamp, now they're being "rested". Poor old Daleks. They deserve better.

Oh, please yes!

Any baddie gets boring when you see them over and over and over and over again. They've lost impact.
