Made curious when I noticed the lead actor listed for an apparently forgettable movie on cable tonight was named Sean Pertwee ("Dog Soldiers"), I checked on imdb.com and found that Doctor 3 has two children who are in the acting profession: Dariel, who apparently has appeared over the years in several British TV series (I did not recognize the ( Read more... )

And Bill Pertwee, the ARP warden in Dad's Army was Jon Pertwee's cousin.

Also, his brother Michael was a screenwriter, and his father (Roland) was a playwright.

Dog Soldiers isn't that special of a film but the werewolves are really quite good.

SOLDIER is a sci-fi movie starring Sean Pertwee that was made by Paul W.S. Anderson, who, right about that time, was threatening to grace the world with a big-budget DOCTOR WHO movie. He chose another project to pursue instead. SOLDIER is worth seeing (not buying) because it's probably the production style he would've used in a WHO movie.

Silly movie, but Sean Pertwee sure is recognizable as his father's son.
