I forgot to mention, there's also a tasteful Bad Wolf sighting in there, too! ;)

Thanks! I only ordered two at the time, and haven't read the other yet - Steelers of Dreams. I'll keep Only Human in mind as the next one to snag, though.

Stealers of Dreams is my least favourite of the six so far. It has an interestring premise but takes too long to get going and never really explains itself too well.

The Deviant Strain has to be my favourite so far.

See, on the other hand, I rather liked Stealers of Dreams. I'll be curious if you review it!

If you're looking for a good story to read, stay away, though.
Exactly. I didn't care for this book, though out of the first three books published it was the worst, narrowly edging out The Clockwise Man in my opinion. It was a very lightweight story, with no depth. Of course, I'm slogging through The Deviant Strain right now... I read the first three books in less than a week (I usually can read a 1000 page novel in an 8 hour period, and no I'm not skimming, I just read that fast).... it's been...three months I think, and I'm only half way through the book. It's just... ugh. (Best I can say without getting into a deep review myself :) )

I thought this book was awful and haven't bought another Nine book because of it. They're too expensive to buy and get junk like this.

the video game Death to Mantodeans ... a new means of attacking the ruthless Mantodeans

A little derivative of Ender's Game?
