The Daleks was ridiculously long, wasn't it? I had no idea going into it and just hit "play all" on the DVD and was freaking out around episode 4 because nothing was getting resolved and I thought it would be over soon.

However, I always lol when I think of Ian getting inside the Dalek shell. So cute.

they are typically about 4 episodes long, I noticed.

not some of the older episodes. they went to the "4 part episode" format more strictly once they had gotten to like, 4th and 5th doctor (6th and 7th tend to be 3-part episodes). Some of first to third doctor episodes are 6 part, 7 part, even some 10-part episodes. It can be a bit much sometimes.
