I don't normally post reviews but something has been bugging me about the episode for some reason...
Normally, I'm not one to hate a Doctor Who episode it just won't be one of my favorites but I'll still watch it. When I first watched the preview for this I couldn't help but think "I'm tired of these mother fucking snakes on these mother fucking plan." A.K.A. I thought it screamed Snakes On A Plane sort of plot which I was not looking forward to. So this week I warily started up the episode on my laptop and began to watch.
As I watched I was beginning to like it. The characters were intriguing enough and it held my attention pretty well. And when it got to the pounding on the walls and it mimicking them, I admit, I was curious. But when it took over the lady, whose name I cannot remember, and it started mimicking everyone I soon got fed up with the "monster" and I had no clue why. I also slowly began to despise this episode and like I said earlier, I am not known for actually hating an episode of anything just it being low on my priority list but all be damned this episode was quickly tiring my patience and I just wanted it to be over.
Towards the end I realized what the problem was... almost every single element of it was hitting a pet peeve. I hate it when people mimic what I'm saying and I hate it when I say something that's right but people don't believe me. And I know that I wasn't the actual person being mimicked but the mimicking hit a nerve. The same goes for the not listening to people I may not have been the character but I guess I just hate it in general when people don't get listened to even though you know their right. Also, may I just add that the Professor pissed the fuck out of me with his whole know-it-all behavior and treating his assistant like shit. "There is nothing out there! It's not possible!" Well apparently it is dumbass so just accept it and shut up and fucking listen to your assistant.
I realize that normally that it was the perfect combination for a Doctor Who episode and maybe someday I'll learn to like it but for now it remains my least favorite episode in all four seasons.
Feel free to comment but please don't bitch me out for having an opinion. I realize that you will probably disagree and you can tell me that but please make the disagreement logical and don't just disagree for the sake of disagreeing.
