How did I manage to miss this? Seriously, really fucking disturbing. Or maybe I didn't miss it, I've just forgotten it. *sigh* I mean, I'd heard about the fake news reports paid for by the government, and I was pretty convinced of corruption or brain damage in the press, but...I didn't realize it was to that extent.
It's depressing.
What's not so depressing is that I found that site through links about Stephen Colbert's shtick at the Correspondents' Dinner. I don't know what the hell a Correspondents' Dinner is, but I saw a transcript of what he said and was both amused and awed. Seriously, I don't care what some people are saying about it not taking guts, because it did. Heaps and heaps of guts. Which isn't depressing at all.
And now I'm gonna go watch him on 60 Minutes, because heykidzcomix commands it.
EDIT: Saw 60 Minutes, loved it. That guy's great. Really.
Also, a friend pointed me toward a comic about the fake news guy I mentioned above. ...And by "fake news guy" I mean a news guy who was a fake, not a guy who did fake news of a comedic nature. *waves hand* The guy who went by "Jeff Gannon." Whatever. Funny comic.
