Author's Notes: This was spawned by me picturing an electrocuted Jon. I...really couldn't say what prompted that, though.
Title is such just so this thing won't be without one. So very not creative. *groan*
Charged
Jon had a vaguely startled look to him. The fact that all his hair was sticking straight out just emphasized his actual expression.
As Trav watched the man putter about the apartment, Jon occasionally twitched. It didn't appear to be a voluntary movement.
Frowning, he set his e-book aside and got up from the couch. He had almost reached Jon, extending a hand, when his boyfriend suddenly jerked away from him and gave a particularly violent twitch. Trav let his hand fall, unable to keep his hurt feelings off his face, and opened his mouth to speak. Jon beat him to it.
"P-P-P--Ssstill have a-a-a charge," he stuttered, an apologetic smile crossing his face before being twitched away.
"A charge," Trav said flatly.
Jon grimaced in confirmation, then touched the lamp on the table next to him. It sputtered to life briefly before going dark again when Jon removed his hand.
"N-N-N--Nngh!" Jon gritted his teeth in frustration and shook his head. "J-Just don't t-touch mmme." He grabbed his wrist with one hand as his other hand spasmed. "For-For a-a-a-a--GAH! While! For a-a--For a while!"
Speaking took an obvious effort for him and Jon was panting by the time he finished. Trav took pity on him and gave a wry smile.
"I probably should've expected this, dating a mad scientist."
"N-Not," Jon argued with the air of an old joke. "J-J-Just p-peeved."
Trav snorted and shook his head. "Anything I can do?"
Dark blue eyes flashed up at him soulfully as Jon quietly stuttered, "M-M-Muff--"
"Cornbread muffins?"
Jon gave another violent twitch, then smiled gratefully. "I-I-I'd k-kiss you..."
"I'll hold you to that," Trav said with a wink, heading for the kitchen.
