RULES
► TECHNICAL
(01) ACTIVITY.
The activity requirements are subject to change (with ample notice) as we establish a playerbase and find a pace that works for everyone. For now, please ensure that you are:
(Main Characters & Gym Leaders)
• Posting on
silphnet ONCE every two weeks, or being involved in one or more threads longer than FIFTEEN comments in total on someone else's network post; OR
• Posting on
roadtoviridian ONCE every month, or being involved in one or more threads longer than FIFTEEN comments in total on someone else's log post.
(League Members, Battle Frontier Brains, Team Leaders & Original Characters)
• Posting on
silphnet ONCE every three weeks, or being involved in a thread longer than TEN comments in total on someone else's network post; OR
• Posting on
roadtoviridian ONCE every month, or being involved in a thread longer than TEN comments in total on someone else's log post.
(Others)
• Posting on
silphnet ONCE every month, or being involved in a thread longer than FIVE comments in total on someone else's network post; OR
• Posting on
roadtoviridian ONCE every six weeks, or being involved in a thread longer than FIVE comments in total on someone else's log post.
If we find you do not seem to be meeting these requirements, you will be contacted and reminded after the first offense, and will be given one week to fulfill at least one of the specified requirements (ex. for MC/GL, being involved in a 15+ comment thread). If activity fails for a second time, you will be given another warning. From the third offense onwards, your character may be removed from the game.
Revisions for 02/11:
- Activity for both communities is no longer a requirement; posting in either silphnet or roadtoviridian as specified will count towards your activity.
- MC/GL requirements changed from two to ONE log post per month.
(02) SPELLING AND GRAMMAR.
The official language of this roleplay is English. Knowledge and application of basic spelling and grammar rules is expected, so please try your best to proofread your posts and ensure that they are coherent.
(03) LOCKED CONTENT.
Anything containing explicit violence, sexuality, language, and other mature themes must be kept locked to the community. As an easy guide: if you wouldn't want your parents, your school, or your workplace to see it, it counts.
(04) TAGS.
Organized tags make everyone's lives easier. (Really!) Upon acceptance into the game, you will be given your own personal character tags. Please remember to use them!
► GENERAL
(05) METAGAMING AND GODMODING.
Don't do it. This applies especially to significant Pokémon battles, the outcome of which should always be agreed upon between the players in a civil and cooperative manner. Unless you have a valid reason to be virtually unbeatable (such as being a league member or a champion PC), be prepared to lose as often as you'll win!
(06) OOC ≠ IC.
A fight with another player should not leak into your game performance, and the both of you are always free to go on hiatus so you can take the time to figure it out. This also very much goes for jumping into relationships with your friends' characters without the necessary development.
(07) TOLERANCE.
Every type of relationship is welcomed here, whether it's male/male, female/female, male/female, or anything involving transgendered characters. If you are unable to tolerate ships that you do not personally support without keeping abrasive comments to yourself, this is not the game for you.
(08) ATTITUDE AND WANK-CONTROL.
If something ticks you off enough that you have to run to the anon meme or RP!S, we understand, because sometimes you just need to let it out. But it's highly encouraged for you to deal with the issues in a mature, direct manner with all players involved in order to avoid the escalation of these issues. If you feel like you can't approach a player, approach a mod, and we'll see what we can do. If it's a mod problem, don't be afraid to give it to us straight--it helps a lot to know what we're doing wrong and how we can fix it for the good of the game.
(09) FUN.
HAVE IT. It's the whole reason we're here, after all!
