Your muse hits shuffle on their musical contraption of choice -- what's the song and what do they do?
Tara cursed profusely as she stood from her desk and knocked a bunch of files on the floor. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d actually seen the surface of her desk and today seemed especially worse. It had been a hard and draining day. She needed to escape but with two weeks worth of discharge summaries screaming to be done, escaping wasn’t on the books.
With a frown, she pulled her iPod from her desk draw, untangled the cords from a mix of pens, paperclips and sugarfree gum. She shoved the buds into her ears and hit play. It didn’t matter what was on it; anything would do to drown out the din of the hospital. The first few bars of ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’ by Phil Collins belted out in her ears and she grinned, shoving her current file to the side. It was the first song she’d danced with Lachlan to mere minutes after he’d gotten down on one knee and proposed to her, in a kilt and all. It was a perfect song for how their relationship had eventuated. Their song.
With a decisive smile, she shoved a piece of gum into her mouth and flicked her laptop closed. Paperwork could wait. Right now, she was going to find her fiancé and kiss the bollocks off him.
