Stellaria Natural Health Class Update
Fall is here! Soon the leaves will be changing colors, the air will grow chill, and we'll be wearing sweaters and scarves once again.
The crisp energy of fall has always appealed to me, and I love the way the hot and lazy days of summer give way to the more practical impulses of autumn. Suddenly we find energy to pursue goals that we'd nearly forgotten over the long summer days.
In honor of that impulse, we're dedicating the new season at Stellaria to Expression. I believe that knowing and speaking one's truth is necessary to true health. Eating the right foods, getting plenty of sleep, even making regular visits to the naturopath isn't enough. We also need to find our own voice--and use it.
The arts provide a range of tools for self-expression, and those tools are available to everyone. You may not be a professional writer or artist, but the ability to tell stories and make pictures is part of our human heritage. That's true even if many of us haven't used those gifts since grade school. This fall we'll be helping you rediscover those abilities. Think of these classes as lessons in Mindful Creativity.
This month we are debuting two new Writing Classes. The wonderful novelist and teacher
Molly Moynahan returns next week to lead a 6-week session for writers of all levels, entitled "I Remember". There are still some spots left in the session, but
contact us soon if you'd like to join us! You can read more about the class
here.
Jennifer Chesak will be leading "Don't I Know You From Somewhere?" a Youth Writing class for ages 11-15 beginning October 7. Read more about her class
here.
On October 12,
Amy Lynn will facilitate a workshop on the making of Mandalas. Click
here for more information on The Mandala Experience.
We will also be adding a sixth Yoga class in October! Sally Levin will be teaching Mid-Morning Yoga on Wednesdays from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Days and times appear below.
In addition to our new offerings, all of your old favorites have new sessions starting soon, and all the classes have room for you!
Remember to register early for any class that you're interested in.
And while we're on the subject of using your voice...don't forget to register to vote!! The deadline is October 7 in Illinois.
Click here if you'd like to start your voter registration online.
That's all for now, but we'll be adding more classes and workshops soon. Please contact us with any questions you have.
We hope to see you soon!
-Stephanie

"The Mandala Experience" is an intensive art-based workshop for people seeking balance, insight, peacefulness and growth. Mandalas are a timeless, circular art form, seen as universal symbols of the self, and this workshop will teach how to use them for personal growth and insight.

The Fall Selection for the Seasonal Tea Club will be shipping out this week. We're proud to present a brand-new creation: Autumn Red. This sumptous, spicy, 100% organic blend of rooibos (red tea), rose hips, orange peel, and cinnamon echoes the colors of autumn leaves, and will warm your heart right through to winter. Like all of our teas, Autumn Red is handblended in small batches by Stephanie Draus, ND.
Autumn Red is only available to members of the Seasonal Tea Club, but it's not too late to join! The club costs $55 for 4 quarterly shipments of handblended teas. If you'd prefer to pick up your tea at Stellaria, the price is just $35.
