Riders on the Storm

This morning was another morning of waiting. Wilma, it seems, won't be visiting the states until at least Monday. I guess the good in that would be that the longer she stays away, the less intense she will be? The bad in that is that the longer she stays away, the more school we probably will have to make up later. Grrr... it's hard enough to keep my kiddies on track on a good day... getting them back after a long layoff will be even worse.

Gray and gloomy today, that scuttled my plans for finishing my grading on the beach or on the roof. So, I cleaned up around the boat, and came down to my cousin's office to hang out with him and Covi, his assistant. They are always an amusing pair to watch in action. The banter is always entertaining.

Who knows what awaits the next few days? I was going to put some of the hurricane preps back in place: such as bagging up our clothes in case we got leakage from heavy rains, packing an escape bag, and bringing my school stuff up to my classroom, where it would be high and dry. Well, I stopped doing that when the news said we had till at least Monday until the storm came to visit.

So, the day passes. With some work, I may get some work done.

Peace friends.
