And look, it's the Two Loves Jamie icon to prove it.
The sad news is that livejournal ate the first draft of this entry, and I cannot promise that attempt number two will be anywhere near as poetically beautiful as the first. Moving on:
Gallifrey! I'm still not sure exactly what my display space at the art show will entail, but I hope (oh gosh I hope) that my cutesy, etsy-front-page-like decision to hang my many prints via a system of tiny clothespins and gently colourful twine will work quite well. Goodness knows, I hope a lot of people buy prints. I've got like 1000 of those clear plastic sleeves that I ordered from uline and I'd like to cart as few of them as possible with me when I move across the pond. SIGH. Hoping there will be enough classic fans about that the prospect of a cutesy Two-era cyberman or Two and Jamie having a cling or K-9 getting a biscuit from Romana are things people want in the area of inexpensive art prints.
Also hoping to orchestrate a wee little tea-tasting party sometime over the weekend. I'll be putting out some kind of announcement once I've figured out how this will work so I can get a rough estimate of how many samples to bring. Speaking of,
do tell your friends to invest in tea!
Ace is amazing. She’s street-smart and tough, and beneath that fearless exterior lies a kind and loyal heart. Rich, slightly earthy hazelnut is met with complex caramel and lively ceylon tea, while gunpowder green lingers in the background like a canister of nitro-9 hidden at the bottom of Ace’s rucksack. Equal parts bravado, youthful enthusiasm, and warm loyalty. And, boooooooom!
Nyssa of Traken is at once serene and down to earth, mature and innocent, compassionate, quietly aristocratic, and very smart. (But certainly not one to show off about it.) The grounding flavour of pu erh is met with comforting assam, while a playful ribbon of caramel binds the blend together with a sweet finish. Tastes unassumingly clever, with a quiet resilience, and surprising strength of character.
Susan Foreman is awesome. Love and loyalty and soft strength. Innocence and youth coupled with uncanny knowledge. The wisdom of earl grey green mingles with bright raspberry and soft vanilla, for a blend that’s a little bit innocent, but uncommonly brilliant, and full of warmth and love.
And then there's Adric. Adric is a weird kid. Can I say that? He really is. He’s smart, granted, but he’s also pretty green. As such, this blend combines green tea with the refreshing flavours of artichoke, rhubarb, and apricot. Like that snotty little brat himself, this brew pairs well with food.
