Well done, ma'am. And funnily enough an acquaintance of mine is in labor as I write this. It's a girl that they have named Kivirin (?) It's from a book I haven't read. All of my kids were named after James Joyce characters. Not by design until #3, when we realized we had a thing going. Poor Bella, named after one of the Three Whores is Ulysses...

Childbirth is messy and sweaty and hurts like a motherfucker! One of the things I struggled with most in the writing of this story was making sure that I didn't end it with any sense of Carys just going off like "well that was jolly good fun, enjoy your new baby, gay fellas!" because it IS a huge emotional experience and I'd have been remiss not to do justice to that part of the story.
