A fond farewell

Mar 03, 2011 20:30

I couldn't help but notice there was mention of Judas Iscariot's departure.

The last time I spoke with him privately, he expressed some concern about returning to his own place and time, citing a fear of being put to death - something I understand would be very likely.

I wonder if anyone can confirm to me what exactly happened to him?

I don't hesitate to say that I'm extremely worried on his behalf.

That said, I'm ashamed to admit I didn't know him well beyond our professional relationship - something I would very much have liked to rectify with time. I suppose we often assume we have more time than we actually do.

In any case, let me be one of the first to express how much he'll be missed. I enjoyed his singing, his polite manners, his reserved demeanor. It's a shame to lose such a valuable member of the infirmary team.

I think we should all take a moment now remember Judas. If you have a kind word to say for him, an amusing anecdote to relate, a fond memory to share, please feel free to do so.

[Added a while later:]

I didn't intend that this would seem like a eulogy of any kind. I can see how...

That is, I simply mean that I'd like us to send our good thoughts to our friend, and hope he finds happiness in his new life.

...Hm.
