House was lying on the couch in his office, hands folded neatly on his stomach, eyes focused on the romantic scene unfolding in Port Charles. He had a content smile on his face and reached to his side for his bag of gummi bears, biting the head off a green one and chewing in contemplation over the commercial break.
Exactly five minutes from the end of that afternoon's dramatic cliffhanger, the door to his office swung open.
"House, we've got a--"
A hand was raised in the air. "Shh. Shut up."
"House, guy in the ER,"
House glared up at his resident mother hen of a duckling -- as if that made any sense -- and narrowed his eyes. "Five minutes."
"He's bleeding from every--"
"God damn it, I don't have a pause button on this thing."
Cameron glared right back. "You would think massive hemmoraging--"
"I don't give a damn about if whoever the fuck you're trying to tell me about is squirting blood out of his eyes like the Bellagio on a Saturday night, give me five minutes."
When she attempted to get another word in, House just held up his hand. She glared and then stormed off into the conference room.
He leaned over and grabbed another handful of gummi bears. "And don't touch the markers!"
