He knew Sam had it rough, with how Alex was in a current state of 'terrorize' all the time and with a new daughter on the way and the War For Pink having been lost. House is standing at the kitchen counter when he hears his cell phone ringing from where it's plugged into the wall to charge. He balances the egg he was about to crack on the counter and unplugs the phone, before flipping it open, and hitting 'talk' after checking the caller ID.

Hey, Sam.

He grins in return at her enthusiasm and laughs softly, arming himself again with the spatula. You're welcome. I take it everything got there.

Exactly. He nods even though she can't see her. Good. I figured I'd help with the second wave of the battle. His tone is light, teasing.

You're welcome. Was just making the three mothers in my life feel special, that's all. Working on breakfast for my wife but her son has decided he wants mom to sleep in. He grins to himself.

He chuckles. That little girl? I don't think so. The boy is going to be a field goal kicker for an NFL team at this rate he's practicing.

He knows that feeling, very well. Feeling him is the most amazing thing, I mean sure it's not the greatest feeling for you but man, it's awesome.

Today is a hundred even. He chuckles. I'm so damn excited. And yeah, Jackson, Jackson Liam. We gave him my middle name, it's been in the family for years. He flips the bacon he's watching and eyes it carefully. How's Alex?
