BBC America 50th Anniversary Doctor Who Week Schedule (tentative)

Oct 09, 2013 13:57

I had compiled this from the schedule pages on BBCAmerica.com, but they've now disabled the feature where you can see past the second current week of programming. Harumph. Thankfully I posted this to Gallifrey Base several days ago, so I had it written out already. Stupid of me not to screen cap though.

So here tis (all times EST). Obviously all subject to change now:

Monday the 18th: All Day marathon of Doctors Revisited Specials plus at 9 pm something called "Tales from the TARDIS" (probably new talking heads type thing.)

Tuesday the 19th: 9th Doctor marathon starting at 10 am thru 11 pm when "Christmas Invasion" happens

Wednesday the 20th:
midnight "Runaway Bride"
1 am "Voyage of the Damned"
2 am S4 marathon followed by all the Specials

Thursday the 21st: S5 marathon starting at 10 am going straight into "A Christmas Carol" at 10 pm, then S6 starts at 11 pm

Friday the 22nd: S6 continued with a few of their other talking head type specials mixed in.
7pm "The Doctor, the Widow & the Wardrobe"
8pm Doctor Who Explained (yet another talking heads type thing?)
9pm "An Adventure in Space and Time" (!!!!, then repeated again at 11 pm)

Saturday the 23rd: S7 marathon starting at 1 am thru 2pm ("Name of the Doctor").
2:45 pm Day of the Doctor (!!!)

then absolutely nothing listed at all til 7 pm which is a 15 minute block of "Day of the Doctor Pre-Show",
7:15 DotD again
9 pm Atlantis premiere (also repeated at midnight and 3 am)
10 pm repeat of the pre-show and DotD

Sunday the 24th: 1 am Doctor Who Explained
2 am Tales from the TARDIS
3 am Atlantis repeat
4 am - 10 am assorted DW specials again
10 am - 8 pm S7 marathon
8 pm-10:30 pm 11th Doctor Revisited (including Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon)
10:30 pm 11th Doctor Revisited
11 pm Adventure in Space and Time
1 am- 6 am assorted DW specials

(and somehow in the midst of that I am going to have to find time to pack, sleep and get my arse on a plane to get to Chicago for Chicago TARDIS on the 25th...)

Also, assuming the times don't change, it looks like the UK starting time for "Day of the Doctor" will be 7:45 pm.

series 6, series 7, day of the moon, seriously just wtf?, series 5, the impossible astronaut, bbc america, bbc america specials
