I'm not normally interested in genealogy, But I found this absolutely riveting. It was amazing watching Alex learn about her ancestry. And it may even explain a little bit about where she finds River Song.

The first half explores her great-grandfather, who died in World War I, the second half explores her great-great-great-great-grandmother, who lived in the 1800's.
All I can say, is that this video makes me love Alex Kingston even more. And it sheds an interesting light on the actress who gives us River Song.
